San Diego auto repair

I was extremely impressed with the service and professionalism here, very friendly family owned shop. I had my car smogged and new tires put on at a great price, and it was easy to come in and get it done, no lengthy time waiting. I'm a mechanic as well and these guys are legit and honest, they actually show you what's wrong if you have a problem and explain it. Will be my place to go while in San Diego, highly recommend.

Paid a little more than coupon price since my car had a turbo, but still a quick transaction at a reasonable price, I'll be back!

I recently had to smog 2 vehicles, so since Speedy's is a little more competitive than the rest of the local shops, it made sense to go here. Check their website to see if they are running a discount, it saved me a good amount. The service was excellent, five stars. The staff are friendly and competent. Price quoted on my initial phone call was what I paid, there was no "upselling" or bs. Friendly, honest, competitively priced, reasonably fast service? Why can't more businesses be like this. Go here, you won't regret it.

Took my car in today. 08 Honda Accord. I arrived at about 12:05. The guy in the office, I assume the owner, was very friendly. I asked for the "out the door" price for a smog. He asked what kind of car before answering, which shows he isn't a bait and switch type of shop owner. He quotes me $45 OTD. I agree, he says it will be about 20-30 minutes. Since I was at lunch, I walked across the street to grab a bite. When I returned about 20 mins later, my car was done, waiting for me. I paid $45 just as I was quoted. Not $45 plus smog. Not $45 plus tax, not $45 plus gas cap. People need to remember, If the state program says you need a new gas cap, it's not the shops fault, it falls on the great voters of California who consistently vote for stupid new laws making it more restrictive and costly to maintain anything. This shop was A+, thank you for the service.

I took my car for a noise that was coming from the belt. The mechanics were able to identify the problem extremely quickly and got it fixed. The only problem is that the belt they replaced on my Mazda3 is worth $39.99 and I was charged $219!!!!! plus installation. I know they need to marked-up the parts but from $40.00 to $219!!!! I felt ripped off when I searched on line for the item number and discovered the price. :-( Next time I will just do the search on the spot and try to negotiate a better deal...Although, it will be an another shop, because I am not going back to Speedy Auto Repair.

Great family business that does quality work! Average prices, but great people. Recently got a smog and tire alignment. They noticed a belt that was squealing and fixed it on the house. Been going here for more than 3 years and plan to keep coming.

What a pleasant experience! I needed to get my car smoged. On Wednesday I was in Miramar having lunch with a friend and I dropped off my car at a Star smog station. What a bad experience. (I will write a separate 1 star review on their site.) I went to Speedy Auto Repair because they are a NAPA Auto Care Center - which does make a big difference. Car passed smog in 30 minutes and the owne Raad and his Son Dany could not have been more professional. I have just found my new station for all my upkeep and repair on my two vehicles. I highly recommend. Proceed with confidence!

Family owned, everyone there is super nice! Brought my car in for a bolt that fell off my brake pad and they did a brake inspection just to make sure nothing cause the bolt to fall off. Replaced the bolt and I was on my way! Fixed my problem and didn't try to tell me that anything else needed to be fixed, or sell me any other services. Will return for sure.

I called and was quoted a great price for smog, and then they honored that price, and quickly! I was done in half an hour, on a Saturday! A special thanks to Sam, who does a great job of communicating; I especially appreciated his keeping everyone posted on how long things would take. This is a special and very appreciated courtesy...who one likes to sit around a car repair facility? I'll definitely return next time I have to get a smog check, and I'd recommend to friends and family :)
