San Diego auto repair

Saw the bad reviews after I got here so was a bit worried about service and being ripped off. But, maybe the people posting with car issues actually had car issues? Anyway, don't know the full story but my experience was great - they took my car in right away, completed the smog check, sent the info to DMV, and I was on my way in 25 minutes. They do have a yelp promotion on check in which can be used.

I was worried by all the negative reviews. Went there only because of closeness to my job just to get a smog inspection. I had a good experience, and staff were polite and prompt with their service. However, my car did not require any work beyond the smog inspection. So I cannot comment on their integrity when it comes to doing repairs and ensuring fair results, as other reviewers have complained about.

I've been to a few auto repair shops and I have to compliment Speedy Auto Repair on their honesty and genuine care for your vehicle. They won't beat around the bush about what your car needs, and if you don't have the money at the time to afford the repair they will respectfully understand. I felt respected and treated with courtesy at all times and Sam was always willing to take me back to the working area where I could see exactly what was wrong with my car, so that I felt comfortable with them repairing it. The name for the shop is also appropriate as they work fast unless it's a weekend and they need to order parts from other merchants who open on weekdays. I'm satisfied and thankful with the service !

Amazing 3rd generation family business! They treated me so kindly. Knowledgeable too! They know what they are doing. They know how to work hard.

I've gone to Speedy Auto for years to do all my smog tests. They are very, very reasonable and get it done within 1/2 hr. What more can you ask. I've never had repairs done here as I have my great mechanic in Lemon Grove to do any car repairs/maintenance that I can't do. All in all, it's the best place in Point Loma/OB/PB.

As good as it gets! This family shop is just that but it is a combination of The Best German / European Techs with Techs that work on all cars to the same high standard for all customers. They will talk to you like a person, order Genuine Parts that are delivered at a click of a mouse and follow through with a guarantee of all service done. Definitely sending more people their way.
