2013, and I still will never take my SUV anywhere else. A while back, I cheaped out and went to one of those 'Car Wash and Oil Change' gigs because it was way closer to my house (and my car was dirty) and they stripped the bolt in my oil pan (and did a wimpy wash! See separate review). This caused it to sputter oil all over the bottom of my car and trash my driveway. They have been doing temporary fixes for me for a long time now, doing their best to seal up the leak as I have been having a hard time financially and couldn't afford to fix it yet but was driving a lot and needed frequent oil changes. They did everything they could to save me money and help me out. Finally I could afford to get it fixed and took it in today. Most places would take 4-5 hours or more to do that job. They knew I dropped my car off and had walked to the gym, so they gave it priority and called me back in 2 hours. They are SO wonderful here, and the fact that it is a family-owned small business (owned by the nicest family you will ever meet) makes so much difference. I have had such horrible experiences in the past being taken advantage of by mechanic shops because I knew virtually nothing about cars. They have never done anything but treat me honestly and genuinely look out for my best interest. That is almost impossible to find these days, and I feel very blessed to have found them. They also give a 2% discount for paying in cash! Awesome :)

Took my car for SMOG here today, called got a price on the phone decided to go because not many places are open on the weekends. Staff was very friendly didn't take long at at all. Price was reasonable due to the age of my car. I don't believe these guys are scammers everything was done quickly and i passed the smog. I'd go here again if i needed to.

39.95. In/Out no hassle pass for an 11 year old Honda. This looks like a straight forward operation to me. It's sad that the bad reviews on this shop are done by people who wrote only 1 review or just wanted to bad mouth this place because their car didn't pass. When I went, all of the service bays were full and there didn't appear to be any unhappy customers. With plenty of competition within blocks - even across the street, bad service would definitely show. Definitely not the case.

I have been going to Speedy Auto Repair for two years now and have had quite a bit of work done to my 1999 BMW. Since the car is 13 years old, it was due to have extensive work done after I bought it in 2010. Each time I have brought my car in, I have found the staff to be quite informative and always willing to go the extra mile to please me. I have had to leave my car overnight on a few occasions and Raad gave me a ride home and picked me up the next day at my house when the car was ready. I live alone downtown and only have one vehicle. Sometimes it's hard to find people to help out and give me rides. Raad said: "No problem, leave the car and I'll give you a ride home now and pick you up tomorrow when the car is ready." Having moved from across the country and not having any family around to help me out in situations like this, that gesture was greatly appreciated and says a lot about his character. He is a really nice man and he and his sons and daughter run the business. I have always been happy with the service there and have never had any issues with my car after they've worked on it. I recommend this shop to anyone needing to get any work done. I will say that there was one unhappy customer there while I was waiting for my car one time but, it had to do with that person's car not passing smog. The staff explained everything well to him and told him what needed to be done in order for his car to pass smog, but the man did not want to have the work done. That is not the shop's fault. He was grumbling as he left disgruntled but, the shop can only do what the customer's agree to have done. The bottom line is that some people are just never happy regardless of the situation. If you are a reasonable person with any sense of common sense at all, you will also like this shop very much. They are honest and do not try to sell you anything that you do not need. They will make the right recommendations for your vehicle and let you decide if you want to have the work done or not. I also had a smog test done on my car in August 2012 and it passed with no issues at all. Great shop and they are open 7 days a week!

Took my 2003 VW Turbo Beetle in because muffler was extremely loud. I had a torn flexpipe under the engine. They /ordered/cut/welded a new OEM piece instead of buying entire muffler from manuf. (Savings of $300+) They informed me that my Water pump was going bad, dipstick and Timing belt. (They gave me ver competitive quote on that as well.) I approved the additional repairs and they showed me each of the faulty parts upon my exit from the shop (piece of mind). They give discounts if you pay $$ so I took advantage of that as well. They saved me a lot of money vs going to the dealer (or other shops) and were extremely friendly and courteous. Family run business. I will send all of my friends there. have not used them for Smog Check so I cant recommend that or not. They have competitive pricing on Oil Changes and are right behind Jiffy Lube so you can decide which one you like for that. the staff at Jiffy Lube recommended them to take care of my repairs.

Tremendous little shop. Smog check was efficient and Danny (the young certified mechanic) knows his stuff. I do almost all of my own work on cars and he is knowledgeable and HONEST.... so is his old man, the owner. ;)

I've been paying about $60.00 to get my car smoged for the past six years in P.B. Saw an ad $35.00 smog check. I kept waiting for someone to come to me with a laundry list of things I need to do so my '96 Blazer would pass. I was in and out in 20 mins, $35.00 as advertized. Polite, Business like, a pleasent experience. I will go back.

Went here for a smog test and DMV paperwork. they can file and provide you with tags upon request. There were some hidden "administrative" costs that were not communicated up front, but ont a huge amount. Otherwise, I have been here several times and everyone was nice and helpful.

I needed a Test Only or Gold Shield smog check and found Speedy Auto repair's website: speedyrepairsmog.com Not too far from work and according to the "Some reasons to come here" section, "retest is free within the first week after the initial test." Sounded Perfect. It's a family business and they were friendly, can't fault them there. But when it came time to re-test (after my car failed - which I can't fault them for that either), they let me know that the website was incorrect and retest was only free if getting the $120 diagnostic service. I paid for the retest (they gave me $10 off), and I failed again, but didn't trust them enough to have them to diagnose the problem. They suggested the website, but it's been two weeks and it still says "free retest" on the site. For anyone who sees "free retest" on their site, don't be surprised if it's not free at all.

Pretty good little place. I don't know much about smog testing (I'm from florida) but their price on it seems standard from what I got around the area. Good pricing on their oil changes, quick service. I'd go here again if I have a problem or just need some routine maintenance done. I haven't shopped around much because I was under a time constraint to get a smog and oil change done, but always look before you commit.
